How to Create a WhatsApp QR Code for Your UAE Business
For many UAE customers, WhatsApp is the first choice for contacting a business. A WhatsApp QR code shortens the path to a conversation: scan, chat, done.
What the code does
It contains a click-to-chat link built from your number, such as https://wa.me/971501234567. When scanned, WhatsApp opens a chat with that number. You can add a message so the customer only has to press send.
Number formats
You can enter your UAE number as 050 123 4567, 0501234567, +971 50 123 4567 or 00971501234567. The free tool converts all of these to the international format WhatsApp needs. Numbers from other countries should start with + and the country code.
Steps
- Open the generator and choose WhatsApp.
- Enter your business number.
- Write a pre-filled message, for example "Hi, I would like to book an appointment".
- Add your logo and brand colours.
- Download SVG for print and PNG for digital use.
- Scan the printed code yourself to confirm the chat opens with the right number.
Pre-fill messages that help you sort leads
Add a short source tag so you know where each chat came from:
- "From the shop window poster: I would like more information"
- "From the table card: I would like to book a table"
- "From the brochure: please send me the price list"
Where to print it
- Shop windows, counters and receipts
- Delivery bags and packaging
- Brochures, hoardings and property boards
- Business cards and email signatures
Use a business number
If several people reply to customers, use a dedicated business number or the WhatsApp Business app, not a personal phone. The WhatsApp Business app also has its own built-in QR code, but a custom code gives you your own colours, logo and SVG download.
Measuring results
A static WhatsApp code cannot count scans. If you need numbers, make the destination a dynamic URL code pointing to your WhatsApp link, and compare scan statistics for each placement.
